Winter Drumline is an exciting activity that takes place on a gym floor and brings to life the visual interpretation of their music through complex and unique forms called "drill", a lot like what the Marching Band does during first semester.  The elements of rhythmic music and a high energy visual package create a powerful & enjoyable experience known as Winter Drumline. The Winter season brings the elements of the Marching Band percussion ensemble to the gymnasium. It includes marching snare, tenors, and basses as well as the full instrumentation of a concert percussion ensemble. This ensemble also provides a unique opportunity for non-percussion instrumentalists to experience a unique performing and competitive ensemble.

Percussion Ensemble class and the Winter Drumlin is under the direction of Bill Garcia. The front ensemble is led by Lyssa Lozano and the battery tech is Justin Burks (all of their bio’s can be located on the staff page).  There is also a 6^th period Percussion Ensemble class offered. This class is available to anyone who has interest in learning percussion techniques or wants to further develop their rhythmic talents. It is available for beginning or advanced percussionists.
