Dear Directors:

The Moorpark High School Band and Color Guard Boosters are proud to announce that the Fifteenth Annual Moorpark High School Battle of the Bands Field Tournament will be held on Saturday, November 20^th,  2010 at Moorpark High School.

Last year’s tournament featured thirty-two bands ranging from divisions A through 6A.  The tournament is divided into two shows with the smaller divisions competing in the afternoon show, and larger divisions in the evening show.  Our staff of volunteers works hard to support our guest bands from arrival in the bus parking lots through warm-up, performance, awards, and departure back home.  We can assist with tow vehicles and trailers to help with the logistics of moving pit equipment to and back from the stadium.

To register for the year’s tournament, complete the SCSBOA entry application, including the announcement form on the second page, and mail it along with your check for $250 to:

Please note the SCSBOA guidelines on the entry form regarding determining or changing your band classification.  If you are unsure of the size of your group, go ahead and register now and we will work with you later to finalize the appropriate classification for your band.

The application and payment deadline is Friday, October 15^th, 2010, but the show typically fills up prior to the deadline.  We anticipate that our show will fill up again this year, like last year, when we had to turn away several bands so register early to insure your spot.  Your registration is not complete until we have received your paperwork and payment.
