Band & Color Guard Booster Volunteers...we need you!

Please identify the areas that you think that you would like to help with or let us know if you have any other areas of expertise you would like to share.

Battle of the Bands – A competition we host each year.  It is very labor intensive.  We need 100% parent participation for this event.  In October, you will be contacted for your preference in an assignment.

Equipment Logistics Load and unload our equipment trailer and pit trailer at football games and field competitions.

Fundraising
– We have a variety of fundraising events throughout the year: a Lemonade Stand at Underwood Farm’s Harvest Festival, Battle of the Bands, Christmas Tree Lot, Holiday Home Tour, Cookie Dough, Restaurant Nights, Wine Tasting, Golf Tournament and Jazz Festival.  We really need your help.

General Labor
– At every event, we need people to distribute water, move instruments, and just basically be there when help is needed.

Golf Tournament
– If you love golf or have any contacts in this sport, please let us know.  This was a very fun event last year and we hope to make it even bigger this year.

Grant Writing
– If you know how to apply for grants – or are willing to learn, we could really use your help!  This is a great way to contribute without having to leave your home.

Grooming
Assist the students in uniform with tucking hair into their hats, polishing their shoes, just preparing them for a field show.

Props
– Assist in preparing props for field show competitions.

Uniforms
– We are getting new uniforms this year.  Help will be needed on “Uniform Fitting Day” to help fit students in the correct uniform as well as shoes, gloves and other accessories.  Additionally, during the season some uniforms will need to be cleaned so we need volunteers to take them home and wash them.

Other
- How can your talents/job help the band?  Do you own a printer?  Know how to sell advertising for our programs or
find sponsors?  Does your company contribute for your volunteer hours?  Let us know how you might be able to help in other ways.

Remember, a lot of small contributions by many individuals make up a successful organization.  Working with these talented students and parents is a truly rewarding experience that you and your child will never forget or regret.  You will meet new people and make many new memories and friends to last a lifetime.
